The 2019 Monster Energy FIM Motocross World Championship is in full effect and this weekend will be the seventh round of the series, the 2019 MXGP of France. Since series runs from March to September, there are times when riders line up for consecutive events and then spend some time away from the starting gate. The French round will be the third race in a row for the MX2 and MXGP divisions; they’ll have a weekend off after this round and then resume with a five-week stretch of racing through June and July.

The 2019 MXGP of France will take place at St. Jean d’Angely, one of the top circuits of the series. The French track is known for its hillside location, flowing layout, rocky terrain, white picket fence, and wild fans. With all of those features, it’s clear why the venue is a mainstay of the MXGP calendar and has hosted a number of Motocross of Nations events.

Youthstream and the FIM have released the pre-entry list for the MX2 and MXGP classes for the 2019 MXGP of France, which we’ve posted below with some details about key competitors and those missing from competition due to injury.

Check back later for a full preview write-up for the race…
