2020 ST. LOUIS SUPERCROSS | COMPLETE COVERAGE

What does winning a 450 Main Event pay? Well, that’s an interesting question as our sport isn’t as transparent as others when it comes to this financial dealings because the terms of contracts between riders and their teams or sponsors are rarely made public. But the one thing we do have that other sports have is a publicized purse payout that comes directly from the event organizers, which is posted on amasupercross.com.

We must preface by saying we all wish more money flowed into our sport, but pointing that out in the comments won’t change much, it’s reliant on the industry and economy as a whole. It’s a work in progress.

The other thing is that this isn’t all the money that riders pocketed, because most have bonus agreements written in their contracts. So Ken Roczen will likely get paid in the somewhere around 100K total from Team Honda HRC, Red Bull, Fox Racing, and so on for his victory in St. Louis.

Below is the complete payout chart for the 450 class at the 2020 St. Louis Supercross, plus running tally going through the first two rounds of the season.
