For the first time ever, Daytona will be a 250 West Coast race. The updated program, including each race’s respective region, is at the bottom of the page…

Feld Entertainment has announced their latest schedule for the 2021 Monster Energy Supercross Series, including dates and venues for all seventeen rounds. The newly announced program will take the series to new venues in Orlando and Atlanta, determines for the East Coast and West Coast regions of the 250 Class, and temporarily removes the Triple Crown format.

The dates and locations for the part of the series remain the same. The series starts with three races in Houston on January 16-19-23 at NRG Stadium and then goes to Indianapolis for the second set of three on January 30/February 2-6 at Lucas Oil Stadium. These six races will now be part of the 250 East Coast Region, as was the plan originally released in October.

Rounds seven and eight will take place in Orlando at Camping World Stadium on February 13-20. The shift in regions for the 250 Class will occur during the one-week break; the February 13 race will be one of the last in the 250 East Coast championship, and the February 20 race will be the start of the 250 West Coast championship.

Rounds nine through twelve will run as previously planned, with the annual trip to Daytona International Speedway in Florida on March 6 and the trio of events at AT&T Stadium in Arlington on March 13-16-20. For the first time ever, Daytona will be a 250 West Coast race.

This announcement brings important details for rounds thirteen through seventeen. The series will hold races in Atlanta on April 10-13-17, but a never before visited venue: Atlanta Motor Speedway. The infield of the car racing track will be the site, similar to Daytona, and this will also be part of the 250 West Coast region.

The series wraps up with a pair of events in Salt Lake City’s Rice-Eccles Stadium on April 24 and May 1. The April 24 race will be a round of the 250 East Coast region, the May 1 finale the usual East-West Showdown.

Feld Entertainment, Inc., today announced the complete schedule for the upcoming 2021 Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, season. The three rounds originally scheduled for Glendale, Ariz. were removed from the schedule and the series will now split those races between Orlando, Fla., and Salt Lake City.

State Farm Stadium in Glendale is a tremendous partner and the Arizona fans have strongly supported Supercross since 1999 but current attendance restrictions and local health mandates have created a difficult environment in which to plan this far in advance. We hope to return to Glendale in 2022.

After the trio of races in Indianapolis, Ind., the series will venture to Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Fla. for two races on Saturday, February 13 and Saturday, February 20, followed by the annual visit to the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Fla. on Saturday, March 6.

The Arlington, Texas dates remain the same – Saturday, March 13, Tuesday, March 16 and Saturday, March 20 at AT&T Stadium.

The three previously unannounced events will now take place in Atlanta, Ga. at the Atlanta Motor Speedway on Saturday, April 10, Tuesday, April 13 and Saturday, April 17. The final two races of the season will take place at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City on Saturday, April 24 and Saturday, May 1.

Orlando is no stranger to Supercross as the Florida Citrus Bowl, now named Camping World Stadium hosted 13 450SX Class races and 11 250SX Class races from 1983 through 2007. Coincidentally, that last race, on March 17, 2007 was also the final race of 5-time Supercross Champion and NBC Sports Broadcaster Ricky Carmichael’s historic career.

The Atlanta Motor Speedway now joins a small list of venues in Atlanta to host Supercross dating back to 1977 at Fulton County Stadium. When the Atlanta Motor Speedway opened its doors in 1960 it became the seventh superspeedway in the country and now joins just Darlington, Charlotte, and Daytona as one of the original seven still in operation. The April triple-header will be a first for the speedway and a first for the Atlanta market.

As originally communicated on October 27, the Eastern Regional 250SX Class will start its season first on Saturday, January 16 at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas. The first seven races will feature the Eastern Regional 250SX Class and the Western Regional 250SX Class will now debut in Orlando, Fla. on Saturday, February 20. Both championships will race a total of nine races in their season including the one and only 250SX Class East/West Showdown in Salt Lake City on Saturday, May 1.

In speaking with many of the teams, there were some significant contractual obligations that necessitated making this change back to the original designation.

The first seven races will now feature the Western Regional 250SX Class and the Eastern Regional 250SX Class will now debut in Orlando on Saturday, February 20. Both championships will race a total of nine races in their season including the one and only 250SX Class East/West Showdown in Salt Lake City on Saturday, May 1.

All 17 rounds of the Monster Energy Supercross season will feature a standard race format as Triple Crown events will be put on hold until the 2022 season.

Tickets are currently on sale for the first six rounds in Houston and Indianapolis. Additional on-sale ticket information will be forthcoming and fans can stay up to date by visiting SupercrossLIVE.com.

FanFest is currently scheduled to take place in Houston, Orlando, Arlington, Atlanta and Salt Lake City as these venues provide adequate space to feature the race team rigs, Monster Energy exhibitions, photo opportunity set ups, food and beverages, plus authentic Supercross and racer merchandise sold via contactless shopping. Ticketed patrons will be allowed to move between the FanFest perimeter and the stadium to watch qualifying at designated times.

Supercross has implemented enhanced health measures to help ensure the highest standards of wellness when it comes to today’s live experience. Seating capacity will be reduced at each stadium with a Pod Seating structure, which will allow family and friends to safely enjoy all the action while social distancing from other groups in attendance.
