CHECK OUT OUR COMPLETE COVERAGE OF THE 2022 DETROIT SUPERCROSS
Can you believe we’re most of the way through 2022 Monster Energy Supercross Championship? This weekend’s race, the 2022 Detroit Supercross, will be the tenth consecutive round on the calendar and will take us in to the critical back-half of the season. Think of all that’s happened from January in Anaheim to now. Wow.
Supercross has a rich history in Michigan, dating back to the first visit to the Pontiac Silverdome in 1976. Ford Field, a domed stadium in the center of the Michigan city, has seen its share of excitement since the series first visited in 2006, but inconsistent scheduling has kept it from reaching the same mythical status as the previous venue.
Things are back to normal, track wise. The course, though standard size for a football field, will probably feel tight and cramped after the long lanes of Daytona, and shorter laps means riders will blast through the same sections repeatedly in the timed races.
Scroll down to see the entry list, injury report, track map, and event schedule for the weekend.
