The Monster Energy Supercross Championship continues its dozen-race rush through the first part of the calendar with the 2022 Indianapolis Supercross, the eleventh consecutive race in the series. This weekend’s race will be the last for the 250 East Region for a bit, as their roster of riders will get a two-week break before returning in St. Louis, while the 450 Class needs to get through Indianapolis and Seattle to earn their rest.
This is another football stadium, which means another rectangle configuration, but the details behind this one is a little different than the others, as the layout was created by a contest winner who used the track builder feature on Monster Energy Supercross The Video game and sculpted by the Dirt Wurx Crew. It features a good mix of elements, including a speed-check wall and a creative elevated sand turn, though the bigger factor tonight could again be the terrain.
Indianapolis is known for having a very soft dirt, one that’s prone to breaking down quickly and can develop foot-peg deep ruts anywhere, and that’s exactly what we look to be in for this weekend.
