You’d have to be blind to have not noticed the huge spike in women riders and racers at the tracks, lately. Each weekend at the AMSOIL DBK Swapmoto Race Series, a dedicated group of females lines the gate in the Women’s class, and we know that the likes, preferences, and desires of female riders can be much different than those of male riders. For 2023, we recruited Kailey Skelton to let loose on our fleet of 2023 250 bikes at Perris Raceway before getting her opinion’s on the machines.
Kailey is a 23-year-old from Orange County, California, and she’s been a regular sight at the motocross tracks since our days as TransWorld Motocross, and a frequent competitor at the race series as well. Most interestingly, she recently began racing mountain bikes and is already a two-time Downhill National Champion. Kailey tested bikes on the same day as our traditional 2023 SML 250 Shootout and had support from all of the manufacturer technicians on hand to help her set up each machine to her liking.
