If you own a new 2023 KTM or Husqvarna dirt bike, do yourself a favor and watch this video. Thanks to the bikes’ new chassis, swingarm, and shock linkage design, a great deal more chain clack is required to keep the chain from binding on shock compression. What’s the big deal? If you run the traditional “three fingers” of space between your chain and swingarm, you run the risk of damaging your transmission or breaking your rear wheel hub. Griffin Dexter from Husqvarna Motorcycles explains why and how you should adjust your chain.
