The 2023 Monster Energy Supercross Series is back on the West Coast, as round eleven of the tour is well underway in Seattle. The fastest riders in the world spent Saturday afternoon learning the technical track that fills the center of Lumen Field, and to no surprise, the lap times are incredibly close. Just fractions of a second split the front-runners in the 250 West Coast and 450 Class on the qualifying sheets, which ratcheted up the anticipation for tonight’s racing even more.
Here’s a look at the fastest lap times and results…
As suspected, Jett Lawrence topped the charts in each of his practice sessions. The Team Honda HRC racer longed a blistering fast 51.027 on his final lap in timed-qualifying to better his already fastest lap time.
Rj Hampshire was just behind, as the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna racer logged a 51.839 in the final session of timed-qualifying to claim the second position in the 250SX class.
Levi Kitchen rounded out the top-3 in 250SX timed-qualifying. The Monster Energy/Star Racing/Yamaha rider bettered his time in the final session of qualifying and logged a 51.841.
Per usual, Chase Sexton was the guy to beat in the early afternoon. Last week’s race winner logged a 50.704 early in the final timed-qualifying session and was the only rider to dip below the 51’s.
Adam Cianciarulo looked to be feeling it in Seattle, as the Monster Energy Kawasaki racer logged a 51.191 early in the final session of riding and ultimately claimed second place in 450SX qualifying.
After laying down a 51.621, Jason Anderson was just behind his Monster Energy Kawasaki teammate and held the third fastest lap time going into the night show.
