2024 DAYTONA SUPERCROSS | COMPLETE COVERAGE

The Monster Energy Supercross Championship has arrived at the world center of racing for round eight, the 2024 Daytona Supercross. We’ve heard forever how the season really starts at the super speedway, and given the competitiveness of the last few weeks and the current point spread in the 450 Class and the 250 East Region, that could certainly be true.

The Ricky Carmichael-designed track that fills the infield of the tri-oval is always a challenge, and this year will be especially rutted and technical. Dirt Wurx was commissioned to build and maintain the course, a notable change in procedure here at the speedway, and the heavy equipment operators told us a wet winter has put plenty of moisture in the dirt.

Friday’s limited riding sessions gave everyone a glimpse of what to expect, but today’s full program, with A-B-C groups in Timed Qualifying for both classes, Heat Races, LCQs, Main Events, and the addition of the Supercross Futures program will really do a number on the long rhythm lanes, sand pits, switchback turns, and bowl berms.
