2024 Fort Worth SuperMotocross | Playoff Two
Live Timing & Results
Round two of the 2024 Supermotocross Playoff series is underway, as today’s action kicked off this morning at Texas Motor Speedway, just outside of Dallas, Texas. Moments ago, Timed Qualifying sessions took place, where riders in both the 250 Class and 450 Class got a half-hour to learn the unique race circuit through two 15-minute sessions.
250SMX Seeded Qualifying
Haiden Deegan just edged out Jo Shimoda in this morning’s Timed Qualifying session. The Monster Energy/Star Racing/Yamaha rider logged a 1:14.596 late, which was about half-a-second faster than Shimoda’s 1:15.198. Local boy, Ty Masterpool rounded out the top-3 on the lap time sheets, as he laid down a 1:15.243 in Saturday’s practice.
Chance Hymas and Carson Mumford will sit out today’s race with separate issues. Chance is dealing with a bone bruise following re-injuring his knee last weekend, while Carson was sent to the local hospital following a nasty crash in qualifying.
450SMX Seeded Qualifying
Jett Lawrence continued his dominance in Fort Worth, as he topped the charts in Timed Qualifying with a blistering fast 1:13.201. Late in the final session of riding, Hunter Lawrence shot up to second place on the lap time charts with a 1:13.923, which shuffled Eli Tomac’s 1:14.440 back to third place.
