After a weekend off, the 2024 Monster Energy Supercross Championship is back in action, as round thirteen is officially underway in Foxborough. This morning’s timed qualifying sessions just wrapped up on the soft, technical course inside Gillette Stadium. Just hundredths of a second split the front-runners in both the 250SX East and 450SX classes. Here’s a look at the fastest qualifiers and some information on how their qualifying sessions went in Foxborough!
Max Anstie was the man to beat in timed qualifying, as he set the pace in both sessions of practice. The Firepower Honda racer bettered his fast lap in the final session and logged a blistering fast 53.094 to top the charts in the 250SX East division.
Cameron McAdoo was just behind on the leaderboards, as he logged the second best time in the final session of timed qualifying. The current 250SX East championship points-leader laid down a 53.408 aboard his Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki KX250.
Supercross rookie Casey Cochran rounded out the top 3 in Foxborough timed qualifying. The Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing youngster just edged out Seth Hammaker’s time with a 53.538; which came from the group B session.
Cooper Webb was on rails in this morning’s timed qualifying sessions, specifically the second and final practice. The Monster Energy/Star Racing/Yamaha rider laid down a few fast laps and ultimately logged a 51.708 to claim the top step in timed qualifying. Cooper Webb was the only rider to dip below the 52-second pace.
Monster Energy/Star Racing/Yamaha teammate Eli Tomac was just behind in timed qualifying. Last rounds winner picked up on some faster rhythm options and logged a 52.087 to claim second place on the time sheets.
After logging the fastest time in the first session of timed qualifying, Jett Lawrence ultimately was shuffled back to third place on the time sheets in Foxborough. Jett logged a 52. in the final session of practice.
RedBull KTM Factory Racing’s Aaron Plessinger will sit out Foxborough Supercross after suffering an arm injury in the first session of qualifying.
