2024 MINI MONSTERS CHAMPIONSHIP | RACE RESULTS

After a year of traveling to some of the country’s best motocross tracks, the 2024 Mini Monsters Championship wrapped up at Lincoln Trail Motosports. Young competitors from more than a dozen states traveled to Illinois and filed thousands of race entries for action in classes that ranged from the newest 50cc rider to Schoolboy rippers at important point in their amateur careers.

There was always something happening during the weekend, which began with load-in on Thursday and continued with Friday’s practice sessions followed by the Father-Rider and Mommapalooza team races. The four-lap relays were an well-deserved opportunity for the dads to show their kids how fast they can get around a rutted and jumpy track, with split classes for 65cc and 85cc riders. The Kelly family came out ahead in a thrilling duel against the Beach family in the 65 Class, while the Lusting family scored a big victory in the 85 Class.

Attention turned to the Stacyc track when the sun went down, as bottles of red wine were opened for the wildly popular Mommapalooza. Unlike the Father-Rider race, which puts importance of the speed of both riders, the Mommapalooza rewards those with steady hands around the throttle and wine glass, as mother and rider double-up on the same bike, go four laps around the bumpy course, and weigh the total volume of what stayed in their cup after the finish line. The Lopez family earned the win in the 65 Class, but a too close to call measurement forced a one lap dash for the victory in the 85 Class that was won by the McCabe family.

A run through the race order showed the skill and speed that’s been instilled in so many young riders, as all of the 32 motos featured close battles, passes for positions, creative line choices, and the thrill of competition. Edwin Miller, Matt Simoneaux, Logan Lusting, Talon Rogers, Tucker MacNeil, and Riley Busse left with their share trophies from the preimer classes while riders like Ryker Aykers, Tate Valstad, Henry Manley, Lexi Gower, and Drake Croslow earned important wins in their early race careers.

We thank the thousands of families for attending the incredible events that took place in California, Alabama, and Illinois, and we look forward to kicking off the 2025 Mini Monsters season in February on President’s Day weekend at Glen Helen Raceway .
