2025 Anaheim Two Supercross | Qualifying Report

Round three of the 2025 Monster Energy Supercross Championship and the 2025 SuperMotocross World Championship is officially underway, as the third race day of the season is in progress following this morning’s qualifying sessions. Riders took to the unique course that fills the inside of Angels Stadium just a few moments ago for their timed-qualifying practices. Just hundredths of a second split the front-runners in both the 250SX West and 450SX classes. Here’s a look at the fastest qualifiers and some information on how their qualifying sessions went at Anaheim Two!

Julien Beaumer, Haiden Deegan, and Jordon Smith provided race fans with an exciting morning of racing against the clock. The three swapped positions on the Timed-Qualifying leaderboards multiple times. Ultimately, 250SX West Championship points-leader Julien Beaumer topped the charts with an impressive 57.828, that came late in the final session of practice. Triumph Factory Racing’s Jordon Smith snuck in a last-minute heater to claim second place on the time sheets. While Monster Energy/Star Racing/Yamaha’s Haiden Deegan had to settle for third place overall in this morning’s qualifiers.

Team Honda HRC’s Jett Lawrence was the man to beat in Anaheim Two’s 450SX Timed-Qualifying sessions. The reigning SMX champ used a sneaky quad-in line following the finish line to log a 57.086 late in the final practice. Last week’s winner and current 450SX Championship points-leader was next on the time sheets, thanks to his 57.904. Redbull KTM Factory Racing’s Chase Sexton rounded out the top-3 in this morning’s qualifiers with a 57.921. With such a large margin gained by Jett, it’ll be interesting to see if any other riders attempt the quad-in during tonight’s racing.

The technical course resulted in quite a-few riders hitting the deck during this morning’s practice sessions. Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Jorge Prado will sit out Anaheim Two following a hard crash that popped his shoulder out. Joey Savatgy also had a hard crash at the end of the second whoop section, but it looks like he will give it a go tonight.
