2025 Detroit Supercross | Qualifying Report

The East coast stretch of the 2025 Monster Energy Supercross Championship and the 2025 SuperMotocross World Championship continues on, as the sixth race day of the season is officially in progress following this morning’s qualifying sessions. Riders took to the unique course that fills the inside of Ford Field just a few moments ago for their timed-qualifying practices. Just hundredths of a second split the front-runners in both the 250SX East and 450SX classes. Here’s a look at the fastest qualifiers and some information on how their qualifying sessions went at Detroit!

After a rough opening round of his title chase, Levi Kitchen looked to be aiming for a rebound in Detroit as he came out swinging in Timed-Qualifying. The Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki rider logged an impressive 48.363 in the final session of 250SX practice to top the leaderboards. Levi’s teammate Seth Hammaker was just behind on the lap charts, as the number-56 Kawasaki rider laid down a 48.380. Current 250SX East Championship points leader and red-plate holder Max Anstie rounded out the top-3 in qualifying with a 48.569.

After logging a blistering fast 47.353 in the final session of 450SX Timed Qualifying, Chase Sexton heads into the afternoon program as the fastest qualifier. Ken Roczen was just behind on the leaderboards, thanks to his impressive 47.669 lap time in the second and final session of practice. Cooper Webb rounded out the top-3 in 450SX qualifying after laying down a 48.197 aboard his Monster Energy/Star Racing/Yamaha.

Both Benny Bloss and Joey Savatgy went down in the opening laps of the first session of 450SX Timed-Qualifying, which brought out the red-flag. Benny was slow to remount at the end of the whoops and was tended to by the medical crew, while Joey appeared to be okay but missed the remainder of the session due to some bent handlebars.
