Checking in with Darian Sanayei

Presented by Yamaha

Darian Sanayei traveled the world in the first few years of his professional racing career, competing in the FIM EMX and MX2 World Championships before aging out of the 250 class and returning home to the United States in search of a ride. A spot with Mitch Payton’s Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki team opened up just in time for last year’s 250 Nationals, and Sanayei found himself living the dream with one of the most highly regarded 250 teams in the sport. His luck didn’t hold out, however, as an injury at the first race ended his summer prematurely. This summer, Sanayei will head north of the border to contest the Canadian 250 MX Nationals for the official Kawasaki team. We caught up with Sanayei at Perris Raceway last Friday to get the scoop on his new program!
