If you could make money traveling the country and racing a motorcycle as a privateer, would you do it? It might seem like an easy question, but when you factor in things like cost, competition, and unexpected issues, the reality of life as a privateer becomes a little less luxurious.
That doesn’t stop a guy like Mason Kerr. The privateer has lined up at races around the country for the past two seasons and followed the full 2021 Monster Energy Supercross Series by lining up in both the 250 and 450 Classes. Now that the SX tour is complete, Kerr has returned home to Iowa, where he’ll spend the summer hitting big money events and being a part of the local MX scene.
