Most of the 2022 machines are officially here and refinement seemed to be the name of the game in the 250 class, as small changes – rather than major overhauls – highlight the Yamaha YZ250F, while, the Gas Gas MC250F, Husqvarna FC 250, KTM 250SX-F, and Kawasaki KX250 returned unchanged. However, the Honda CRF250R came into 2022 as an all-new machine and arguably the most anticipated bike of the year. We’ve been comparing the bikes since we started taking delivery of the 2022s way back in July and after one final day of back-to-back testing the six bikes (Suzuki is unchanged and unreleased at the moment and has politely requested to not contend in the 2022 shootout), our panel of six test riders arrived at a verdict and crowned the 2022 Swapmoto Live 250 MX Bike of the Year.
