Perris Raceway is the oldest motocross track in Southern California, and through the decades we’ve seen the management change numerous times, have ridden countless different layouts, and enjoyed many, many, memorable days riding there. WTP Motorsports recently took over the facility and led by Scott Cooney, the team has given the facility an all-new look and a major overhaul. We paid our first trip to the new Perris Raceway last week for the launch of the new Michelin Starcross 6 tire, and we cornered Cooney for an interesting conversation about what it took to revamp one of our all-time favorite race tracks.
