Who will win the the 2022 John Penton GNCC? This is the big question going into the seventh round of the Grand National Cross Country Series because defending champion Ben Kelley will not score a seventh consecutive victory due to the dislocated shoulder and a compound fracture of the tibia/fibula he suffered from a recent crash. It’s been a rough year for GNCC, as Stu Baylor, Josh Strang, Thad Duvall, and Johnny Girroir were all sidelined by injuries and forced to miss rounds in the first part of the season. There’s little room for error in the woods these days, especially at the pace the front-runners are willing to go.
