Moto Tips | Pack Your Gear Bag Like A Pro

Full sets of gear (pants/gloves/jerseys/socks). For race days, one set per session on track (Practice/Moto One/Moto Two).
Two helmets. If that’s overkill, pack a second set of liner pads for a mid-day swap out or a drying fan to place it on. Do not leave helmets in direct sunlight.
Mouthguard and earplugs. Popular accessories among pros. Mouthpieces must be molded for each rider, but standard orange foam disposables are the widely preferred earplugs.
Goggles. For race days, one new set per race. For practice, one or more, depending on light and track conditions. Prep using laminated tear-offs, Vaseline on the inner frame foam to collect dust and debris, and a maxi pad on the forehead foam.
Chest and back protector. Many riders run a slim plastic chest protector under their jersey; this is mandatory in FIM competition.
Knee braces or pads. Keep a spare strap or buckle handy.
Kidney belt. Optional.
One set of boots. A backup pair of booties might be unnecessary, but spare straps and buckles are a must.
Specialty items and spare parts. Make one part of your bag a storage area for items like gear-specific fasteners, tools, and tapes.
