Mini Major East by SEVEN – Monster Mountain, Alabama Sep 8-10

What a year of racing and we aren’t done yet!  The Mini Major series by SEVEN has grown over its eighth year running and we are super excited to hit our third stop of the year next weekend at one of our favorite places to be on the planet, Monster Mountain MX in Tallassee Alabama, September 8-10.  As you may have seen on the news there was a Hurricane ravaging the Florida area but Monster Mountain was completely un touched.  Keith and his team are deep in preparations to make this an amazing event.  We also have a growing list of VIP’s as former pro racers are bringing their families to Mini Major!  The Reed’s will be making their annual visit to the Mini Major East and also recently transplanted from the West Coast Josh Grant and family will be in attendance.  This is going to be an amazing Father / Son race for the record books!

Are you New to Mini Major?  The best way we can describe it is less pressure, more classes, lower entry fees and more fun!  As promoters and racers we travel the country and put the best ideas together from all over into one event.  We are not AMA and no membership is required and part of our charm is that we offer a lot of classes so that riders who aren’t quite at a national level yet have an event to participate in two moto overall format races with a national vibe.  This year we are also giving trophies to 10th place!  We also bring the best media in the business to cover the event and provide tons of photos and vide.  Swapmoto Live will be in the house as well as VURB Moto.  Your chances of getting coverage in the daily media posts are high no matter your racing position.  The Mini Major by SEVEN is a series that starts in California, then Illinois, Alabama and the finals are at Freestone MX in Texas November 10-12 where we will award titles and see which region has the fastest racers in America!  Last year the West edged out the East by just five titles!

Thursday September 7th – Pull in day! Gates Open 1pm to 10pm.  We will have registration open for check in 6pm – 8pm and you can ask our staff any last minute questions regarding your event and get your rider t-shirt.  Practice stickers (which must be applied before Friday practice) will also be available as well as transponders.  All racers are required to have a transponder for electronic scoring and the link to reserve yours is on our our pre reg page.  If you have a subscription and a MyLaps TR2 transponder already you can enter that information on the pre registration page.

Friday September 8th – Practice Day!  Gates Open 6am – 10pm, Registration open 7am – 3pm (practice sticker required before entering track)

Practice 1 – Supermini

Practice 2 – 65cc Age Group / Novice (No Beginners)

Practice 3 – 85/150f Beginner / Novice / Girls

Practice 4 – PW/XR/TTR/CRF/JR (No KTM’s or Cobra’s) 

Practice 5 – 85/150f / Age Groups 

Practice 6 – 65 Beginner / Girls 

Practice 7 – 50 Age Group (No Beginners/Novice)

Practice 8 – 50 Beginner / Novice / Electric 50 / 50 4-6yrs (10″) / 50 Stock (no PW/XR/TTR/CRF/JR) ​

• (3) practice rotations means lot’s of laps!

• Friday practice included in race entry fee, no extra fees

• Race Order will post by end of day Friday

• 20 minutes after practice is concluded we will have the FATHER / SON race!  There is a 65 and a 85/Supermini Class.  All riders must be family members so any combination of Father/Son/Daughter/Grandpa/Godfather, etc but not two kids on the same team and no ringers please.  This is all in fun.  The “Wiser” AKA older team mate will get two laps of practice before the start of the event.  Teams will switch riders each lap and the kids will start the race from the gate.  Each rider will perform two race laps and trust me you don’t want to miss spectating this fun event.  Possibly the best part is both team riders will take their laps on the same bike!

Saturday September 9th – Race Day 1!  Gates Open 6am – 9pm.  Registration open 6:30am – 8am

Riders meeting 7:30 am.  Will be in person and will broadcast on FM 88.9

Practice will begin at 8am.  We will go through the practice order from the previous day and riders will get a five minute practice per group.  Racing will immediately follow practice.

STACYC GROMCROSS will happen Saturday evening.  Practice is 4pm – 5pm and racing will immediately follow.  Racers will get two moto’s and there are classes for stock and mod bikes.  Please remember this is for our youngest riders and in the name of fun. We have seen a lot of sneaky and over the top mods that we have seen in the past and it drains the fun out of it.  Thank you.

Sunday September 10th – Race Day 2 and Overall Trophies.  Gates Open 6am 

Practice will begin at 8am.  We will go through the practice order from the previous day one time.  Each group will get two laps.  Racing will immediately follow practice.

Overall trophies to 10th place in every class and podium interviews will happen after each race.  

What to expect when you arrive:  We do not charge for Friday practice.  All hookup RV spots have been reserved and sold out.  There is plenty of dry camping available for RV parking on site.  If you park any trailers overnight you will need a parking sticker for the RV or Trailer only.  There is no charge for extra vehicles.  There is no charge for pit vehicles.  Please make sure that any golf carts or pit bikes are operated respectfully at all times.  If operation is reckless and risking injury or property damage we reserve the right to impound your vehicle until you depart the facility.  Each day on site requires an event wristband to be worn at all times.  5 year old and under attendees are free.  Each day the price for a wristband and camping goes down and you cannot purchase any single day passes except on the last day.
