2024 Pro Motocross Championship | Washougal | Round Eight

Round eight of the Pro Motocross Championship kicked off this morning at Washougal MX Park, near the Oregon and Washington border. Moments ago, Timed Qualifying sessions took place, where riders in both the 250 Class and 450 Class got a half-hour to learn the unique race circuit through two 15-minute sessions.

Hunter Lawrence topped the charts in 450MX Timed-Qualifying at Washougal, after bettering his fast lap in the less sloppy second session of practice. The Team Honda HRC racer just edged out second place on the time sheets with a 2:16.403 to take the top spot.

Jason Anderson is jelling with the technical Washougal race course, this morning, as he was the man to beat in the first session of 450MX Timed Qualifying. Ultimately, the Monster Energy Kawasaki rider landed in second place overall on the leaderboards with a 2:16.543, coming from the faster second session.

Justin Cooper rounded out the top-3 in 450MX Timed Qualifying aboard his YZ450F. The Monster Energy/Star Racing/Yamaha rider laid down a 2:17.287 in the final session of riding. 

Tom Vialle improved on his lap time significantly in the final session of 250MX Timed Qualifying to take the top step on the leaderboards. The RedBull KTM Factory Racing rider laid down a blistering fast 2:18.580 in that second session to shuffle his way up the time sheets. 

Levi Kitchen proved to be the most consistent between both sessions of 250MX Timed Qualifying, as both his best lap times were just a few hundredths apart. Ultimately, his 2:20.243 landed the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki rider in second place on the time sheets.

Haiden Deegan rounded out the top-3 in 250MX Timed Qualifying. The Monster Energy/Star Racing/Yamaha rider laid down a 2:20.256 to just edge out Pierce Brown’s quickest time.
