Just a week after some rather exciting news regarding Christian Craig’s new deal with the Monster Energy/Star Racing/Yamaha team, Craig is in news headlines again this morning for some less fortunate news. The veteran has undergone knee surgery following an injury he sustained at the SMX World Championship finale, in Las Vegas.
“I went off the track after the sand section and when I was reentering the track, I slid and dabbed my leg. Didn’t even fall,” Craig said in the post.
Fortunately, it sounds like Christian will be back on his YZ450F sooner rather than later and be on the gate come January. Certainly not great news, but if there is a time to have surgery done – now is that time.
