If you’ve been hitting the local tracks in Southern California lately, you’ve probably seen a guy kitted out in Seven gear ripping an older, beat Kawasaki 450 around. And like us, you were probably scratching your head trying to figure out who it was. We weren’t one hundred percent sure who it was until our buddy Roger Larsen gave us a call late last week to talk to us about his guy Dylan Walsh.
After hearing Dylan’s story from Roger, we met up with the New Zealander at the track to get the full scoop. We’re not going to type out everything that has unfolded in Dylan’s lap, but long story short; sh!t hit the fan with overseas teams that Walsh was riding for and rather than sit around and dwell on the negatives, Dylan booked a flight to California and somehow made it in the country amidst the pandemic. Since then, he has been living the California dream while throwing everything he has into securing a fill-in ride and racing in the states.
