Los Angeles County Raceway is located in Palmdale, California, an hour or so away from the Inland Empire hotbed of SoCal motocross. Still, the track offers a fun, unique experience for racers as it traverses a massive pit in the ground, which is a result of years of gravel mining. What’s left is a sandy surface that isn’t quite soft, but a lot different than the hardpacked dirt found elsewhere in Southern California. Round three of the West Coast Open visited LACR yesterday and over 400 racers showed up to enjoy the West Coast’s best-attended motocross race series.
