AMSOIL Swapmoto Race Series El’Dorado | Rnd.1 Glen Helen Raceway
The 2020 racing year roared into Glen Helen Raceway with the first round of the El’Dorado Race Series. It was a picture perfect day to start off the series and both tracks were ready for a big day of racing as practice and the first motos kicked into high gear. This is the first full year of the Swapmoto Race Series and it includes four different series throughout the year as well as the Trans Am Vet Classic and the Mini Major are already booked onto the calendar. If attendance at this first round is any indication, it should be a busy year full of close racing at every race.
The 2019 Fall Classic Series ended with a rainout, so the year end prize giveaway was moved to this first race of the new year. This included the Yamaha YZ250F giveaway from Yamaha, an Epoxy-It garage floor coating as well as the prizes from all of the series sponsors. During the break between 1st and 2nd motos, racing was put on hold for the YZ250F giveaway. 4 finalists were drawn from the bucket of tickets, and each were to choose from a handful of envelopes to try to win the final prize. The first envelope of the finals was chosen by Logan Olberg and ended up being the winning ticket for the bike. It may be a few years before Logan grows into the motorcycle, but we are confident he will share it with his father who was just as excited.
Logan Olberg is congratulated by Aaron Cooke of Swapmoto Live Race Series.
Epoxy-It gave away a garage floor coating to one lucky entrant from those racers that signed up for that prize through the year. The winner of this was David Laponi Jesse Hodges of Epoxy-It (right) and winner David Laponi

The Schoolboy 125/250F class thunders up the first hill of the race.
