Aidan Zingg is hands-down, one of the coolest mini racers we’ve ever met. Full of personality and plenty fast on the track, we are proud to have great kids like him at the AMSOIL Swapmoto Race Series. Aidan and his father Bob are regulars at the track and it’s always apparent that they both value the quality family time that our sport offers.

How long have you been racing motocross and why do you love it?

I have been racing for three years and I love motocross because my dream is to fly through the air, and I love to go fast!

Do you play any other sports, too?

Motocross is everything, pretty much!

What is your typical week like?

I ride three to four times per week, and race on the weekend. Or practice. I get to ride during the week after school.

We see you at the track riding and racing with your dad. How big of an influence is he?

A very big influence because he helps me with all the lines on the track. He helps me with everything! He is pretty much why I am a good motocross rider.

How long do you think it will be until you are beating your dad?

(Laughs) I’d say I got him in one or two more years. When I get onto an 85 it’s on.

How serious are you about motocross racing?

I am pretty serious. My dream is to be a pro racer.

Do all of your buddies at school know that you ride and race?

A lot of them know.

Do they think it’s cool?

Not really because they are mostly all into football and soccer and stuff. 

What are your favorite tracks to ride and race on?

I like Loretta Lynn’s! I like rough and rutty tracks! Ponca is coming up and that track is pretty fun and rough. But my all-time favorite track to race at is Mammoth Mountain.

What is it about Mammoth that you like so much?

I like how fast it is and how it gets big acceleration bumps. And I like the scenery!

Who is your favorite racer?

My dad!

Oh, your dad? No pro heroes?

No. Just my dad!

Have you been to many of our race series events?

Yes I love them!

Do you train for racing?

I workout most every morning and sometimes after school also. I do push ups, pull ups, squats, and bicycle early in the morning?
