GEICO Honda’s Jo Shimoda will make his Supercross debut this coming weekend in Tampa, Florida, and an entire country of motocross fans will be watching him. Hailing from Suzuka, Japan, Shimoda is touted by many as the first Japanese racer to have a real shot at having an impact on American motocross racing, but the quiet teenager doesn’t let things like that faze him. Having seen his teammate Jett Lawrence make quite a splash in his rookie season, Shimoda has a good idea where he stacks up, but is only setting out to do his best and learn as he goes.
