The Eastern Regional 250 Supercross Championship is finally underway here at Houston, Texas’ NRG Stadium, and while much of the pre-race hype has centered around Honda HRC’s Hunter Lawrence or even incoming rookies like Haiden Deegan, it was instead Fire Power Honda’s Max Anstie who topped both of the afternoon’s timed-qualifying sessions. Anstie, a long-time 450 class racer, accepted the invitation from Yarrive Konsky to return to the 250 Supercross class and has “been having an unbelievable amount of fun.” How will the Englishman do in tonight’s final? His goal is simply to have fun… We caught up with Anstie moments after he topped the final timed session of the day.
