It’s hard to believe that Christmas is this weekend! Our week thus far has been jam-packed with activities – including the 2023 250 Shootout – and that is why the Kickstart Podcast is coming to you this week on a Wednesday. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone!
A-Ray, Mikey gave me an idea, you need to do pet collars. “Sketchy” for dogs and “Puss” for cats.

My Christmas Surprise
Being a dual citizen from a divided home, I would get to spend Christmas with my dad in Jamaica. Back then there would always be some action. One Christmas morning I was riding the mountain bike that I brought down from Idaho, it was my brother’s present, when one of his “friends” waved me down. I stopped and we were talking. It was kind of hard to understand what he was saying because of the accent but it all made sense when he pulled out a small knife and asked for the bike. Good thing I was mor afraid of my brother than I was of getting cut by some raggamuffin. I was on a hill so I just rotated my petals into boost mode and booked it out of there. I was so scared.
The funny thing about it all was the knife. That the guy pulled a nice little red Swiss Army knife which happens to be the exact same one I brought for my brother the previous Christmas. Dude was using a knife he stole from my brother to steal my brothers bike from me. Only in Jamaica
I’d get back to Idaho and all my buddies in school would be jealous about my trip. I was always like “dude, i almost died like 3 times.”
Jamaica is a beautiful and powerful place. I’ve met the most honorable and beautiful people down there. I don’t want to cast a bad light on the place at all. I just always seem to stumble into and out of some sketchy situations.
Great podcast as always! I think some sketchy merch would be fitting as I got sketchy and got my wife pregnant.
Only 15 minutes in & I was expecting to hear Don say, “on that note, the podcast is going south, thanks for listening, we’ll be back next Monday…” lol. I usually show up to races without help and ask random people on the start line to help me set my other start device so the Sela would be pretty darn helpful! I appreciate the weekly podcasts to help work go by quicker while I listen!
This year I got my 8 year old daughter a xr100, super pumped to introduce her to the motorcycle world. Merry Christmas 🤘🏻
Thank you to the SML crew for the year of great content. You guys helped get my wife into moto with the Life on Two Wheels vlog. She loves when little Louise makes an appearance, sorry Scrub Daddy. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Merry Karimasu to Donn.
