AMSOIL Fall Classic | Round Five | Glen Helen Raceway
And that’s a wrap! The AMSOIL Fall Classic race series is officially in the books, as round five went off this past weekend at Glen Helen Raceway. The cool temperatures and cloudy skies seemed to appeal Southern Californian racers, as hundreds of riders joined us at the legendary San Bernardino, CA facility. The track crew prepped both of the fast courses to perfection, making for some exciting racing throughout the race-day. The Swapmoto race series saw it’s last checkered flag wave for the 2021 year at round five of the Fall Classic, however, we look forward to returning to Glen Helen Raceway on January 16th to kick off the 2022 El’ Dorado series. See you there!
Glen Helen regular Trevor Stewart made an appearance at the final round of the AMSOIL Fall Classic displaying his new colors for the 2022 season and beyond. We recently caught up with Trevor and discussed his new ride with the Yamaha backed team in this ‘How Was Your Weekend‘. As far as racing goes, Trevor seemed right at home aboard the blue bike, as he fended off Sean Lipanovich and ultimately took home both moto wins in the Pro 450F class. After watching both motos, there’s not a doubt in our mind that Trevor logged the fastest laps of the day.
Long-time race series regular Matix Soto was back behind the gate this weekend, as he’s been on and off of the bike for the last 2 years with a string of injuries. Despite the injuries and the time spent off of a bike, Matix looked faster than ever at round five of the Fall Classic series. His results backed our eyesight, as Matix swept the stacked School Boy (125/250F) class with two perfect motos. Though, the success didn’t stop there, as he grabbed another win in the Intermediate 250F class before leaving Glen Helen Raceway.
It was a good day off the track for Tanner Weaver, as he was the lucky winner of the 2022 Yamaha YZ250F! That’s right, Yamaha graciously donated a brand new YZ250F to be given away in a random double drawing at the final round of the 2021 series. After Tanner’s name was drawn as one of the final four, he selected the envelope that rewarded him with the 2022 blue machine. Congrats, Tanner!
