AMSOIL Fall Classic | Round One | Perris Raceway
And we’re off! The 2021 AMSOIL Fall Classic series is officially underway as racing kicked off this past weekend at Perris Raceway. Over 600 racers filtered through the gates of the Perris, CA facility and joined us for an exciting day of racing. The track crew at Perris Raceway provided racers with a unique and challenging course for the first round of the Fall Classic. And thanks to their prep; each corner had multiple ruts and lines, making for some awesome racing. Truth be told, it was arguably the most chaotic day of racing we’ve seen in 2021, however, the race series crew had all 64 individual motos wrapped up well before sunset. All said and done, the AMSOIL Fall Classic series opener was certainly one for the books.
The fast guys came to play at the first round of the AMSOIL Fall Classic. Rockstar Energy Husqvarna’s Talon Hawkins and Monster Energy’s Brad West put on quite the show in both the Pro 250F and Pro Open (125-450F) classes. The two seemed to be in sync around the challenging course, as their blistering pace certainly set the fast laps of the day, all while staying within a few seconds of each other. Despite the nail-bitting battles throughout each of the four motos they shared, Talon came out on top in a majority of the races and snagged three moto wins. While Brad took home the final moto win of the day in the Pro Open class. Prior to this race, we hadn’t seen both Talon and Brad on the track at the same time, but after Sunday’s motos, we look forward to the battles that will be had between these two throughout their careers.
The Keefer Family made it out to Perris Raceway for the AMSOIL Fall Classic series opener. Both Kris and Aden made their presence known in each of the motos they contended in. Kris lined up for both the 30+ Pro and Pro 450F classes, where he snagged four separate moto wins with ease and even spent a few laps battling with youngster Brad West. While, Aden did his work in the School Boy (125/250F) and Intermediate 250F classes and snagged three moto wins. At the end of the day, the Keefers made the trip back up to the high desert with seven more moto wins to their last name.
