Round 8 of the 2025 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship heads to the World Center of Racing this weekend for the Daytona Supercross.
This will be the 52nd time Monster Energy AMA Supercross has invaded the infield at Daytona dating back to 1974 when Pierre Karsmakers won on a Yamaha. Eli Tomac boasts the most victories at Daytona with 7, but of course, Tomac is out with a broken fibula currently and will not line up this weekend.
Returning to action this weekend is Daxton Bennick who missed the second round of 250 East at Detroit following a concussion sustained during the week.
The 250SX East class returns to action this weekend after a round off last weekend. Max Anstie still holds the points lead in the series having gone 1-2 to start the championship. Levi Kitchen, who won last time out in Detroit, sits second in the standings nine points back.
There was a brief scare at the end of press day today when Anstie crashed in a high-speed rollers section, but he was able to remount eventually and reportedly is okay.
The 450SX class championship leader is now solely Cooper Webb after winning last weekend in Arlington. Chase Sexton sits five points back, while Suzuki’s Ken Roczen in 19 points down. Nobody racing in the 450 class this year has ever won Daytona, and it seems like everyone is keen to add this one to the collection.
