Marshal Weltin will race anytime, anywhere. The North Carolina-based has lined up for motos around the world over the last five years, including Pro Motocross in the United States, EMX competition in Europe, the Triple Crown series in Canada, and even special events at local tracks. If there is money to be made at a motocross race, Weltin will most likely be there on his Thor/Kawasaki/Pro Circuit motorcycles.

Last week Weltin and his girlfriend made the long haul from the East Coast to Iowa for the Justin Brayton Shootout at Riverside Raceway in Winterset, where he scored five wins in eight Pro Class motos and pocketed over $3500 in purse money.

After Saturday’s action wrapped up, we chatted with MW about the feeling that comes before the gate drops, how riding at different tracks or events improves his skills, and what he will do this summer in Canada.
