Mini Monsters by SEVEN Postponed

It started the beginning of last week when we saw some rain on the schedule for the 2X Promotions Road to Mammoth Round 1 at Glen Helen.  Then the weather reports started talking about next week and said it was going to be even bigger.  We watched as the schedule had to be modified and we even had some family line up on the gate this weekend.  Watching the track crew prepare for the RTM event they faced some major obstacles with the rain and as you must do they pushed a lot of mud out of the way.  One section in particular which was in our plans to use saw a ton of sediment that slid down Mt. St Helen and the water actually was buried below the surface by about a foot and a half!  This was not going to be a section we could use for our youth only event.  Add in the risk of missing the Thursday Hill Climb, Friday Practice, the Father Son and Mom Race and we just had to make the call…

A major factor in our decision was not waiting too long so that families could prepare.  We are honored at the lengths people take to travel, load their rigs, put gas in the truck and soo much more to get to our races and it just wasn’t fair to hold out a decision.  It also wasn’t a event that fairly represented the 10 year anniversary we were hoping for the Mini Monsters.  

The new date is April 25-27 and it will stay at Glen Helen.  This was a date we had reserved at Glen Helen since we turned in our dates in September 2024 so the staff and the track were ready for the change.  We scoured the schedule and found it to be the most logical move as it didn’t compete with and Mammoth, Loretta’s or other Amateur National events we could find.
