The pit area is always buzzing with activity just before racing starts, as riders, mechanics, and brand reps put the final touches on their equipment or prep spares for worst-case scenarios. The threat of rain at the Seattle Supercross was enough for Jesse Hagoort, SX-MX Race Manager for FLY Racing, to take preemptive measures with Jalek Swoll’s Formula helmet, a process that includes spare goggle lens, pads of foam, and taped-on anchors.
