2019 FOX RACEWAY MOTOCROSS | COMPLETE COVERAGE
Get an up-close look at the factory parts and pieces used on the Team Honda HRC CRF450R raced by Ken Roczen in the 2019 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship. We had a few minutes to shoot the Oscar Wirdeman-built bike before the 2019 Fox Raceway Motocross, the second round of the season, when it was complete with the championship-leader red number plates. A third-place overall result pushes Roczen out of the championship lead as we head to Colorado, but that doesn’t make the bike any less interesting to look at.
Team Honda HRC uses a number of suppliers for the components of the CRF450R, plus a plethora of parts that are fabricated in-house. Things to look closely at are the Showa suspension on the front and rear, the Nissin billet front brake caliper, various electronics on the handlebars, the titanium and carbon fiber build of the Yoshimura exhaust, the razor-sharp footpegs, and billet machining marks throughout. If you could pull one part from the team’s inventory for your own bike, what would it be?
Kenny’s bike is so wicked awesome!!!
Awesome! Personally I love the up close and in-depth mechanical information like this. The next best thing would be a test ride and review…. the stuff of dreams right!? Would love to see it happen.
Would love to see some detailed write ups of the factory bikes from the early 80’s – especially Honda’s!
I looked into getting a crf450WE – and everyone looks at you at the dealership like your crazy. As if they don’t think you have the money.
Got to check Kenny’s bike out last year at redbud. Beautifullllll
Hey would love to see more of the trick parts on factory bikes.
Would be rad to see more privateer exposure and there struggles in the professional mx world. Financially and physically putting it all on the line for mere pennies!!!thanks swap🙌🏼🤘🏼
LOVE Kenny’s bike! So cool to see all the trick parts these things get!
