Last week, the manufactures joined the SML crew out at Cahuilla Creek MX for the 2020 450cc Shootout, presented by Escondido Cycle Center. After one final day of riding and testing on each manufactures 2020 450 model, SML test riders sat down and gave us their top pick for the year, as well as their thoughts on each of the bikes. Though it may resemble last years bike, the Honda CRF450R came into 2020 with quite the list of changes and updates. With three new maps and three new forms of traction control, the combinations seem to be endless; which is what gives the 2020 Honda CRF450R the most tunable powerplant, in our opinions. Been loving these in depth looks. It’s cool getting more detailed insight into each individual bike. The same Shootout format year after year does get a little boring after a while. Good job trying to think of creative ways to keep it fresh and interesting.
