Last week, the manufactures joined the SML crew out at Cahuilla Creek MX for the 2020 450cc Shootout, presented by Escondido Cycle Center. After one final day of riding and testing on each manufactures 2020 450 model, SML test riders sat down and gave us their top pick for the year, as well as their thoughts on each of the bikes. The 2020 Kawasaki KX450 came into the 2020 450 Shootout having received no changes, aside from the green plastics. However, the 2019 Kawasaki KX450 was an all-new machine that quite frankly dominated last years shootouts as the bike of the year.
