Unless you’ve been living on a deserted island for the past several years, you have undoubtedly seen (and heard) the small electric stability cycles known as STACYC. Equipped with small electric motors and throttles, the little bikes have allowed countless youngsters to develop their two-wheeled motor skills sooner. What does this mean to the motorcycle industry? Future growth, of course, as the STACYC bikes make the transition onto a mini bike a practically seamless affair.
Yesterday, KTM and Husqvarna debuted a line of officially licensed STACYC bikes at Fox Raceway, and we were able to sit down with STACYC CEO and inventor, Ryan Ragland, and his wife, Brandy. The story is interesting and inspirational, as Ragland is a friend of ours from his early days as a mechanic for the Red Bull KTM race team! Even if you don’t have a youngster who rides a STACYC, this is a great listen. Enjoy!
