Tuesday’s release of the 2021 Monster Energy Supercross Series schedule brought a significant change in plans for the 250 Class, as it unexpectedly moved the start date for the West Coast Regional championship one month earlier and put the East Coast Regional championship later in the season.
After concerns were raised by multiple teams and riders, Feld Entertainment and the AMA have decided a further change is in order and have announced a reversal; the East Coast will now run in the first part of the series, as was previously planned, starting on January 16th in Houston.
Joining us as the first ever guest on the SML News Break is Senior Director of Operations for Supercross, Mike Muye, and he’ll explain the reasoning behind the latest changes.
