We are just past the halfway point in the 2022 Swapmoto Race Series by AMSOIL and Dirt Bike Kidz season and we have some amazing racing yet to come! We are looking forward to cooler temps, some new tracks and even traveling out of state! This year has been one of experimenting with new tracks, classes and more and we are stoked to see all the riders who have come along with us. It’s awesome for us to hear you come up to registration and let us know this is your first race with Swapmoto as well!
Next up on the calendar is what we dubbed the Triple Crown Series. Three rounds at the world famous Glen Helen Raceway, each round having different track layouts and some big surprises for series end champions! All three rounds will count towards the Championship so don’t miss a single one! We will still be racing our two track format and providing a smooth running program that gets you on the road and back home quicker. Friday pull in will be available from 2pm – 7pm for overnight parking. Keep an eye on the Instagram for individual Saturday practice schedules. For the opener we will have practice on the Main and Vet from 8am – 2pm gates close at 8pm. Sunday Schedule is gates open at 6am. Practice is at 8am and racing starts approximately 9:30am.
The Mini Major by SEVEN is now a three race series and this year we are returning to Alabama and Monster Mountain August 19-21 for more memories. Last year was an amazing experience for all riders and the staff, track and amazing dirt is something we can’t wait to get back to. Did you know that there is a transport service taking bikes from California to this race? The SRD Race Team makes the drive taking race assets and will take bikes, gear bags, tools and gas and they even set up a pit area for you at the race! The full factory treatment! Just fly in with your mini monster and check off this bucket list trip! Email [email protected] for all the details. The Mini Major East provides an awesome opportunity for racers to compete in an event that has all the exposure, track branding and rider suppiort with more classes for a wider variety of skill levels. We will be hosting the Father & Son race again which was made soo exciting last year by the entry of Chad and Tate Reed flying the #22 and we are super excited for them to be coming back this year! Make sure you follow their YouTube channel for all their adventures in racing this past year! STACYC GROMCROSS action Saturday night, sweet custom trophies, great sponsor support and media coverage from Swapmoto Live and Vurb Moto!
Don’t miss this event and start making plans to hit the final Championship this year at Freestone, TX September 23-25! We have some awesome surprises in store for you to rep your side of the country. We will also have help from SRD Race Team doing a California to Texas transport! You will not need to qualify for this final Championship event but riers who have been to a West or East stop will get priority gate pick. Which coast produces the fastest mini riders East or West?
The end of the calendar year will host our annual Fall Series by AMSOIL and Dirt Bike Kidz. Along with our great annual partners STACYC, Thor, Throttle Syndicate, ASV, Flovision, Hammer Nutrition, EKS Brand and Action Sports Canopies providing rider support at each round. We will be sprinkling in some GROMCROSS racing as well at select rounds. We are excited to add another new location to the calendar and you will see some two day events on this schedule. What that means is different for each location.
This year we had a great stop at KCRP near Bakersfield and the main track layout and dirt was amazing. In an effort to improve the experience on the Vet track classes we will make this a two day event. There will be a Friday afternoon practice with splits for bike/skill level. Saturday, day, we will race all the Main Track classes on the big track. Saturday evening we will host racing on the Arenacross track for all riders who chose to participate in open classes by bike size and some variations for age. On Sunday we will host all Vet track classes on the big track and prep it accordingly for those skill levels.
Cahuilla Creek MX is back on the schedule as well! For those who ride here it’s a favorite track in the Fall / Winter months and we are stoked to be making our first return there since the Transworld Days. Due to the single gate that Cahuilla has and the tracks request we will run all Main track classes on Saturday and all Vet Track Classes on Sunday on their respective Main and Vet tracks. Make sure to get to Cahuilla for some early practice on their normal schedule if you haven’t been before. It’s a unique track with great layouts.
Also on this packed schedule are the favorite locations of LACR, Glen Helen and Lake Elsinore MX all for our standard single day schedules. We hope that you found this post informative and look forward to seeing you all at the track! Thank you for your support! Don’t forget to pre register online at SwapmotoRaceSeries.com and save $5 per class on our already industry low entry fees.
