You can always count on Tyler Bereman and Red Bull to produce a badass video. The rider and energy drink brand took a page straight out of the skate/snow/BMX playbook and have decided to put their efforts into high-production projects, filmed in unique locales and with products from big-name partners in other sectors of business. That’s the whole premise behind their latest freeride flick, which was filmed entirely in one taken using a DJI drone.
The shoot took place at the Chocolate Mountain property in San Diego County, California, a place that’s rose to prominence for being a very big and very scenic riding spot. A massive flowing course was laid out over the spread and included cut-in quarter pipes, transfers, fast turns, drop-offs, and metal ramps. Bereman’s lap around the track was captured on camera by a DJI drone that was controlled by Johnny FVP, a Red Bull-backed drone specialist with an impressive Instagram page.
Hard to say what’s most impressive about the video: Bereman’s skill on the bike, the way he memorized the course, how Johnny FVP followed so closely, or how it all came together so well? Press play to see for yourself…
