USWE Outlander 2 Hydration Pack and Action Camera Harness | Trail Tested

There are a lot of mountain bikers and off-road motorcycle riders who rely on back-worn hydration packs, but we’ve never cared for their hot and cumbersome feel while riding. We’ve recently learned that hydration packs have come a long way since the original CamelBak we wore 15 years ago… USWE is a Swedish brand that has – in our minds – perfected the strapping system to keep a hydration pack from bouncing around while you ride a MTB or motorcycle. Their No Dancing Monkey 4-Point Harness System does a fantastic job of securing the pack so that it doesn’t bounce around or flap on your back, but at the same time, it remains comfortable and unrestrictive. We paired the Outlander 2 pack we tested with USWE’s Action Camera Harness, which replaced our normal GoPro chest mount. With a two-liter capacity, a low-profile and secure fit, and awesome camera compatibility, this setup has changed our minds about hydration packs and will have a regular spot in our gear bag!
